Stunning representation of pure Sangiovese from Montalcino in Tuscany.

Mastrojanni is a Tuscan estate founded by lawyer Gabriele Mastrojanni in 1975 and acquired by the Illy Group back in 2008. The estate produces only Sangiovese, the grape with which both this wine and the highly prized Brunello di Montalcino has to be made. Unlike Brunello, Rosso can be drunk young and is generally less tannic, less concentrated and lighter than its older counterpart, but nevertheless highly enjoyable and greatly recognisable in his fresh expression of red fruits with a medium to full body.

This 2021 vintage was aged in oak barrels for 7 months and left to rest in the bottle for a further three months before release.
