Aglianico Dal Re, Irpinia DOC, Feudi Di San Gregorio 2017

ABV 13,5% - 75cl Bottle

Grape: Aglianico

The Winery

Irpinia, a historical region of the Campania Apennines, is a unique wine-growing area, where vineyards have always coexisted with fruit trees, woods, olive trees, aromatic herbs. A sour and sweet territory at the same time, with strong connotations and intense sensations. An ancient hinterland whose vineyards already find evidence in the texts of Pliny, Columella and Strabone.

The position of the soils of the Irpinia area is very varied: a continuous succession of mountains, hills, plains, interspersed with waterways.

The orographic configuration determines a wind regime that gives the region good rainfall and creates a microclimate that differentiates it from the Campania context: the vegetation is varied and dense; the winters, although short, are rigid and snowy and the summers are mild and prolonged.

The Wine

"Dal Re" by Feudi di San Gregorio matures 6 months in barriques, stops briefly in steel vats and ages a further 6 months in the bottle. Balanced on the palate with convincing tannins. Fruity, herbaceous and savoury

Goes best with
